Tim Wolf worked and trained with Tom Clark before starting his own business, and this piece is reminiscent of the style of thimble gnomes from the Clark studio. While there is no thimble in this one, it displays well with other thimble gnomes, especially with a real thimble sitting beside it.
A great "Thank You" gift for a friend, or simply to display with your own collection.

NOTE ABOUT THIS BOOK: As a long-time collector, I have many, many
thimble books in my personal library but I have to say that this is one
of my personal favorites. Most of them are purely reference books and
some are coffee table picture books, but this one is “readable.” The
chapters about the Anglo Boer war and succeeding history of the country
of South Africa, specifically in relation to thimbles and sewing tools,
is fascinating and of interest to history lovers as well as sewing tool
collectors. Jenny has poured into this book untold hours of time, years
of diligent research, and an abundant love of thimbles, as well as a
tribute to her heritage and the sacrifices of her ancestors. All who
journey through this book are the beneficiaries.
